The origin of the Cuaba cigar goes way back to the first Cuban settlers and is the Taino Indian word for the special Cuban bush used to light the “Cohiba” or “Tobacco” on the Island.
The Cuaba cigar is noted for its pleasant aroma, outstanding construction and rich flavours.
These Cuban cigars are pointed on both ends which lends outstanding combustion to the experience. First introduced in London in 1996, the Cuaba brand was the first new Cuban cigar brand to be introduced into commercial production since 1968.
The maker, Gonzalez, claims he styled the Cuaba blend after Montecristo, but most cigar connoisseurs believe the blend used is more similar in taste to Romeo y Julieta.
In 1998, Cuaba had the distinction of being one of the cigar brands chosen to be released with a special vitola (the Distinguidos) in a Millennium Reserve ceramic jar humidor and is often a brand chosen for special releases and humidors.
